對(duì)不同用途的閘門在選擇啟閉機(jī)時(shí)可遵循下列原則：

(1)泄水系統(tǒng)工作閘門的啟閉機(jī)一般選用固定式啟閉機(jī)和一門一機(jī)的布置，但若閘門操作運(yùn)行方式和啟閉時(shí)間允許時(shí)，也可選用移動(dòng)式啟閉機(jī)。

(2)多孔泄水系統(tǒng)的事故、檢修閘門的啟閉機(jī)，一般選用移動(dòng)式啟閉機(jī)。

(3)施工導(dǎo)流封孔閘門的啟閉機(jī)，其啟閉力應(yīng)考慮在一定水位下有啟門的可能，同時(shí)應(yīng)有準(zhǔn)確的指示裝置以顯示閘門是否到達(dá)底坎。

(4)擋潮閘、水閘工作閘門的啟閉機(jī)，一般采用一門一機(jī)以便迅速啟閉閘門。

(5)電站機(jī)組進(jìn)水口和泵站出口快速閘門的啟閉機(jī)選型，應(yīng)根據(jù)工程布置、閘門的啟閉荷載等進(jìn)行的技術(shù)經(jīng)濟(jì)比較，選用卷?yè)P(yáng)式或液壓式快速閘門啟閉機(jī)。 (6)當(dāng)多機(jī)組電站進(jìn)水口設(shè)有檢修閘門時(shí)，一般選用移動(dòng)式啟閉機(jī)，同時(shí)在樞紐總體布置條件允許的情況下，應(yīng)盡量與溢洪、泄水系統(tǒng)檢修閘門的啟閉機(jī)協(xié)調(diào)共用。

(7)機(jī)組進(jìn)水口多孔攔污柵的啟閉機(jī)，可用門式啟閉機(jī)在其上游側(cè)設(shè)置副起升機(jī)構(gòu)，也可用跨內(nèi)副鉤和主鉤。若水工建筑物布置分散，無(wú)條件利用已有啟閉機(jī)時(shí)，也可單獨(dú)設(shè)置移動(dòng)式啟閉機(jī)。

(8)電站機(jī)組多孔尾水管檢修閘門的啟閉機(jī)一般采用移動(dòng)式啟閉機(jī)。

(9)對(duì)于需要分節(jié)裝拆的閘門或分節(jié)啟閉的疊粱閘門，應(yīng)選用移動(dòng)式啟閉機(jī)操作。
